Terms and Conditions

Last updated: July 12, 2026

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of tylerknives.com and purchases from Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork. By accessing this website, submitting an order, or purchasing a product, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. About Our Business

Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork is a small handmade business located in Brantley, Alabama. We create handcrafted ironwork, knives, tools, household items, outdoor products, and custom-made pieces.

In these terms, “we,” “us,” and “our” refer to Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork. “You” and “your” refer to website visitors, customers, and purchasers.

2. Acceptance of These Terms

By placing an order, you confirm that:

  • You have read and accepted these Terms and Conditions.
  • The information you provide is accurate and complete.
  • You are legally able to enter into a purchase agreement.
  • You are authorized to use the selected payment method.
  • Your purchase and intended use comply with applicable laws.

3. Handmade Products

Our products are individually handcrafted rather than mass-produced. Small variations in shape, dimensions, hammer marks, texture, color, grain, patina, finish, and appearance are normal characteristics of handmade work.

Product photographs are representative examples. Because lighting, screens, materials, and the handmade process vary, the item received may not appear exactly identical to a photograph.

These natural differences are not considered defects when they do not materially affect the product’s intended function.

4. Product Descriptions and Availability

We make reasonable efforts to provide accurate product descriptions, photographs, measurements, prices, availability, and estimated production times. However, occasional errors may occur.

We reserve the right to:

  • Correct errors or incomplete information.
  • Update descriptions, specifications, or prices.
  • Limit quantities.
  • Discontinue products.
  • Cancel or refuse an order when reasonably necessary.

If a material error affects an order that you have already placed, we will contact you and provide appropriate options.

5. Orders and Order Acceptance

Submitting an order does not guarantee acceptance. An order is accepted when payment is approved and we confirm that the product can be supplied.

We may refuse or cancel an order because of:

  • Incorrect pricing or product information.
  • Payment authorization problems.
  • Suspected fraud or unauthorized activity.
  • Product or material unavailability.
  • Shipping restrictions.
  • Legal or safety concerns.
  • Abusive, threatening, or fraudulent customer conduct.

If we cancel a paid order before shipment, the amount charged for the cancelled portion will be refunded.

6. Custom Orders

Custom orders may require additional communication, design approval, measurements, specifications, photographs, deposits, or other project information.

A custom-order quote is valid only for the time stated in the quote. Pricing may change if the customer changes the design, dimensions, materials, quantity, finish, shipping requirements, or requested completion time.

Production does not begin until any required payment or deposit has been received and the design details have been approved.

Custom and personalized products: Because these items are made specifically for the customer, they generally cannot be returned or exchanged unless they arrive damaged, are defective, or materially differ from the approved order specifications.

Once work has started, deposits and payments may be nonrefundable to the extent they cover purchased materials, design time, labor already performed, transaction fees, or other costs incurred for the project.

7. Customer-Supplied Designs and Images

By submitting a photograph, drawing, logo, design, name, phrase, or other material, you confirm that you own it or have permission to use it for the requested product.

You are responsible for claims arising from material you submit without proper authorization. We may refuse any design that appears unlawful, infringing, hateful, threatening, unsafe, or otherwise inappropriate.

8. Prices, Taxes, and Charges

Prices are displayed in United States dollars unless otherwise stated. Applicable taxes, shipping charges, and other order costs will be shown during checkout before the order is submitted.

Coupon codes:

  • Must be entered before completing checkout.
  • Cannot be redeemed for cash.
  • May be limited by date, product, customer, or quantity.
  • May not be combined unless expressly permitted.
  • May be cancelled if obtained or used fraudulently.

9. Payment

Payment must be made through one of the methods offered at checkout. Orders may be delayed or cancelled when payment cannot be authorized, verified, or completed.

Payment-card information is processed by third-party payment providers. We do not store your complete card number or card security code on our website.

10. Production and Processing Times

Many products are made, finished, or prepared after an order is placed. Production and processing times are estimates, not guaranteed delivery dates.

Completion may be affected by:

  • Order quantity.
  • Custom design requirements.
  • Material availability.
  • Equipment problems.
  • Weather or utility interruptions.
  • Unexpected illness or emergencies.
  • Seasonal order volume.

We will make reasonable efforts to communicate significant delays.

11. Shipping and Delivery

Customers are responsible for providing an accurate and complete shipping address. We are not responsible for delays or losses caused by an incorrect address supplied by the customer.

Delivery estimates provided by shipping carriers are estimates and may be affected by weather, holidays, service disruptions, or other conditions outside our control.

When tracking shows that a package has been delivered, customers should check with household members, neighbors, the local carrier, and any secure delivery locations before reporting the package missing.

If we cannot ship within the promised or applicable time, we may contact you to request approval for a delay or provide the option to cancel the unshipped portion for a refund.

12. Damaged, Missing, or Incorrect Orders

Inspect your order promptly after delivery. Contact us as soon as reasonably possible if:

  • The package or item arrived damaged.
  • An item is missing.
  • You received the wrong item.
  • The product has a material manufacturing defect.

Keep the product, packaging, shipping label, and packing materials. We may request photographs or other documentation to evaluate the issue or submit a carrier claim.

13. Returns, Exchanges, and Refunds

Returns, exchanges, cancellations, and refunds are governed by our Refund and Return Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms and Conditions.

Customers must contact us before returning an item. An unauthorized return may be refused or delayed.

Unless our Refund and Return Policy states otherwise, original shipping charges and return-shipping costs are not refundable when a return is caused by buyer preference rather than our error or a qualifying defect.

14. Knife and Tool Purchases

Important: Knives, cutting tools, fireplace tools, grilling tools, garden tools, and forged metal products can cause serious injury, burns, property damage, or death if handled or used improperly.

By purchasing a knife or other potentially hazardous product, you represent that:

  • You are at least 18 years old or the legal purchasing age where you live.
  • You may lawfully purchase, possess, receive, and use the product.
  • You will not purchase the product for an unlawful purpose.
  • You will follow all applicable federal, state, and local laws.
  • You will use, maintain, transport, and store the product responsibly.
  • You will keep sharp or hazardous products away from children and unauthorized users.

Laws governing knives and tools vary by location. You are responsible for determining whether a product is lawful to purchase, possess, carry, transport, or use in your jurisdiction.

We reserve the right to decline or cancel a sale when shipping or selling a product may be prohibited or present a reasonable legal or safety concern.

15. Product Use and Safety

Products must be used only for their intended lawful purpose and in a reasonably safe manner. Wear appropriate protective equipment and follow accepted safety practices.

Do not use a product that is damaged, loose, cracked, excessively worn, improperly installed, or otherwise unsafe. Customers are responsible for proper installation, inspection, maintenance, sharpening, cleaning, and storage.

Wall hooks, racks, hangers, and mounted products must be attached using fasteners and methods appropriate for the wall material, expected load, and application. Fasteners may not be included unless expressly stated in the product description.

Do not exceed a product’s reasonable capacity or use decorative items as climbing, lifting, towing, personal-support, fall-protection, or life-safety equipment.

16. Finishes, Care, and Maintenance

Hand-forged carbon steel and iron products may rust, discolor, patina, or change appearance over time. These changes may occur because of moisture, humidity, acids, salts, food, weather exposure, cleaning products, or normal use.

Follow any care instructions supplied with the product. Unless the item is specifically described as suitable for outdoor use, prolonged outdoor exposure may damage the finish or cause corrosion.

Normal wear, patina, finish changes, rust caused by improper care, damage caused by misuse, and unauthorized alterations are not manufacturing defects.

17. Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise stated, the website’s photographs, product designs, descriptions, logos, graphics, text, videos, and other original content belong to Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork or are used with permission.

Website content may not be copied, reproduced, sold, republished, distributed, or used commercially without prior written permission.

18. Customer Reviews and Submitted Content

When you voluntarily submit a review, photograph, testimonial, or other non-confidential content, you grant us permission to display and use that content in connection with our website, products, and business promotion, unless we agree otherwise.

We may remove content that is false, unlawful, abusive, threatening, discriminatory, infringing, unrelated, or contains private information.

19. Website Availability

We do not guarantee that the website will always be available, uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every device. We may modify, suspend, maintain, or discontinue website features when reasonably necessary.

20. Third-Party Services and Links

This website may use or link to services operated by payment processors, shipping carriers, social-media providers, marketplaces, or other third parties. We are not responsible for the content, availability, privacy practices, or conduct of independent third-party services.

21. Disclaimer of Warranties

Except for warranties expressly provided in writing, products and website services are provided on an “as available” basis to the fullest extent permitted by law.

Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty, right, or remedy that cannot legally be excluded.

22. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, exemplary, or consequential damages arising from misuse, unlawful use, improper installation, improper maintenance, unauthorized modification, or use contrary to supplied instructions.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded.

23. Indemnification

To the extent permitted by law, you agree to be responsible for claims, losses, or expenses arising from your unlawful use of the website, your violation of these terms, content you submit without authorization, or your misuse of a purchased product.

24. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Alabama and applicable federal law, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute will be handled in a court with proper jurisdiction unless the parties voluntarily agree to another lawful dispute-resolution process.

25. Severability

If any provision of these terms is found invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in effect to the extent permitted by law.

26. No Waiver

A delay or failure to enforce a provision does not waive our right to enforce that provision later.

27. Entire Agreement

These Terms and Conditions, together with our Privacy Policy, Refund and Return Policy, product descriptions, custom-order approvals, and other policies displayed on the website, form the agreement governing website use and purchases.

28. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms and Conditions when our products, services, website, or business practices change. Updated terms will be posted on this page with a revised date.

The version in effect when an order is submitted generally applies to that order.
