The Story Behind the Forge
At Tyler’s Knives & Ironwork, every piece is forged with fire, hammer, and purpose. I have been working at the forge for over 15 years, blending traditional blacksmithing with practical craftsmanship to create knives, tools, hooks, hardware, and custom ironwork that are built to be both useful and one-of-a-kind.
What started as a hobby in a small backyard shop has grown into a family-supported craft. My wife, Katilyn, and our children, Ema, Levi, and Jaxon, have been a constant source of inspiration and encouragement throughout this journey. Each piece I create carries not only the mark of my hammer, but also the values of durability, skill, and handmade tradition.
From hunting knives and chef’s blades to forged hooks, BBQ tools, cabinet hardware, brackets, and custom ironwork, I take pride in tailoring each order to fit the customer’s needs. My process does not stop at forging. Each blade is finished with a special beeswax and grapeseed oil blend that helps protect and preserve the steel.
No two pieces are ever exactly alike. Every knife, tool, or piece of ironwork is made by hand and built to last.
